This email includes information about getting the new school year started, kindergarten assessments, after school options, scheduling appointments with school counselors, and report cards, and more!

Skyward Family Access Closed: July 16 – August 9
Once Skyward (our student information system) opens, families will be notified. Please remember to update your contact information when Skyward reopens for the 2021-22 school year.

Kindergarten Assessments – July 22-23 | Don’t forget to Register!
Kindergarten students are assessed at the beginning of the year to establish a baseline for beginning instruction. Incoming kindergarten families please register for an assessment time. When coming to campus for your assessment, please enter campus via the new Main Entrance at 1200 SW 6th Street.
Elementary After School | Blue Wave After School
Blue Wave After School (an independent operator on our campus) offers options for Elementary and after school. Visit Blue Wave After School for more information and to sign up.
SECONDARY
Middle and High School Preview – Monday, August 9 – 3:30-4:30pm – On campus
Students and families are invited to visit campus for an hour on Monday, August 9 in order to become familiar with the new entrance, campus, and the secondary learning spaces.
Student Schedules + First Day of School
Schedules for middle and high school students will be available on the first day of school (August 10). This year we return to our regular first day procedure. Students come to campus and find their first period classes posted on the Cafeteria windows. Information is posted by grade level in alphabetical order. Staff will be on hand to help students find their names and class locations.
School Counseling Appointment Dates (Secondary)
Need to meet with a school counselor prior to school starting? School counselors will be available by appointment after July 26.
Athletics
Some important dates for athletics are included below. Check web pages for athletic teams for new and updated information. A reminder that in order to try out for and participate in sports, students must have a completed FHSAA Physical + Parent Consent Form. FHSAA Physical + Parent Consent Forms for the 2021-22 school year can be picked up from the Main Office.

MIDDLE

7th Grade – TDAP Immunization
Florida law requires that 7th grade students have a TDAP vaccination before their first day of 7th grade (August 10). The required form is called a DH680 – Florida Certification of Immunization. See: Florida Department of Health – School Immunization Requirements. Forms can be submitted to mainoffice@pky.ufl.edu.
Middle School Study Hall | Mon-Fri | Until 4:00pm
A supervised study space is provided in a designated location on campus for middle school students from Monday – Friday. Students must be picked up at 4:00pm as supervision is not provided beyond that time.
HIGH
