About P.K. Yonge

P.K. Yonge Developmental Research School, affiliated with the College of Education at the University of Florida, is a public school established in 1934 with the mission to design, test, and disseminate best practices in K-12 education through serving a diverse student community.

P.K. Yonge faculty serves approximately 1,302 students each year and, in partnership with faculty at the UF College of Education, strive to design and test innovative teaching solutions to meet the needs of all learners.

P.K. Yonge boasts a warm community atmosphere that fosters deep and impactful relationships with students and families over many years. Teachers work closely in collaborative environments that promote open discussion about innovative ideas and translating emerging theories and research into classroom practice.

With greater professional autonomy, P.K. Yonge teachers enjoy curricular flexibility and engage in research in their own classrooms. To ensure the success of P.K.
