Cross Country

CROSS COUNTRY SCHEDULE FOR P K YONGE FALL 2020

With the postponement of fall sports until 8/24/2020, cross Country summer conditioning will be extended. Starting on July 27, 2020 we will condition  Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30-5:00 pm. All students starting grades 7 through 12 are welcome to join. Athletes are required to have up-to-date physicals and parent permission forms completed prior to conditioning.

Students should not have a fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, or have had close contact or cared for someone with COVID-19. Temperatures will be taken before each practice to ensure the safety of students/coaches and should be below 100.3 F. Students should also bring a 32 ounce water bottle labeled with their name. The coach will keep the water bottles in a cooler and disperse accordingly. Students should come to practice wearing a mask. Masks are to be worn at all times, except when running or drinking. If any of these requirements are not met, student will be asked to leave. There will also be no supervision provided prior to or after practice times listed:

Monday, July 27, 2020, from 3:30-5:00 pm, at Depot Park (drop-off and pick up at pavilion).

Tuesday, July 28, 2020, from 3:30-5:00 pm at UF Football Stadium (drop-off and pick up at entrance to stadium where Heisman trophy statues are across from O’Connell Center)

Thursday, July 30, 2020, from 3:30-5:00 pm at P. K. Yonge School (drop-off and pick up at gymnasium)

This practice pattern will continue until the start of school (currently, August 24, 2020)

When school is in session, we will adhere to the same practice pattern, but will proceed from and return to campus, with practice starting promptly at 3:30 and ending promptly at 5 pm. Again, no supervision will be provided before or after stated practice period.
