Have a Great Spring Break!

March 19, 2021

P.K. Families — We have been enjoying such beautiful weather! It definitely seems to be telling us it’s spring. We wish everyone a wonderful, restorative, safe, healthy, and fun break! As we head into break, we reflect on the spring semester and are awed by everything that has happened so far. A few highlights are included below.

Recent celebrations include:

The artwork of two elementary students has been recognized in the Saving My Alachua Art Contest. Congratulations to Nicholas Acuña (5th grade, 1st place) and Landrie Patterson (4th grade, 3rd place).

Roaring Riptide Robotics is in the throes of their 2021 Chairman’s Award presentation.

One of our Middle School Odyssey of the Mind teams will compete at the World Competition. Congratulations to Leah Weiser, Will Mercado, Sasha D’Croz, and Dillon Fabulich.

Jon Mundorf was named to a national board for Universal Design for Learning Rising to Equity.

High School Visual Arts students are exhibiting at the Harn.

Middle School Students developed web content for one of Gainesville’s Sister Cities, Duhok Iraq, and attended the official signing of the Sister Cities agreement.

Our Spring Athletics are in full swing!

Our Seniors are closing in on completing their Senior Research Projects and finishing up their Community Service hours!

All of these wonderful things (and more) have happened AND we moved into a new secondary building while navigating the ebb and flow of doing school during a pandemic.

Have a great break!
