Happy Friday | Celebrations, Gratitude, and Info

Happy Friday! We have officially begun our countdown to the end of the school year. It was great to see zebras and zippers on Thursday and a campus sprinkled with yellow on Friday!

It’s been a while since we have shared some celebrations, gratitude, and info so here we go!

Congratulations and gratitude to our staff in honor of Staff Appreciation Week! We recognize Beth Kavanagh – Cafeteria Manager and Staff Member of the Year, Sandra Villanueva – Main Office and Anchor Award, Tish-Andrews Hawkins – Cashier and Sunshine Award, and Julian Palechor – Custodial Superintendent and Lifeguard Award | Details. We also celebrate Joe Locke on his University-wide Superior Accomplishment Award | Details.

Congratulations to our Boy’s Tennis Team who won the District Tournament for the 5th year in a row and won the Regional Semi Final. The team played well, but were eclipsed in the Regional Final on Thursday, April 26. Best of luck to Matthew Miller (10th) who will be playing in states on Monday, April 26.

Continued gratitude to all families, faculty, and staff for patience and cooperation with school traffic. The weeks May 3-7 and May 10-14 will be heaving traffic weeks due to on-campus testing. We’ll be sending out reminders to try to help families plan ahead.

A shout out to our K/1 and 2/3 grade learning community teachers and students on managing the transition back into our post-flood elementary building with grace and incredible capacity to handle the curves that this year has thrown their way.
