Back to School – Important First Day Update
August 22, 2020P.K. Yonge Families — We can’t wait to see you at school!
Here are a couple of important reminders…and don’t forget to WEAR A MASK, remember to keep PHYSICAL DISTANCE from others, and WASH YOUR HANDS well and often!
If you’re coming to campus, remember to please review important updates to our Drop Off, Pick Up, and Traffic procedures. All SECONDARY drop-off and student parking can ONLY be accessed from the 16th Avenue entrance unless dropping of an elementary sibling. The gate between the north and south end of campus is locked.
Remember that students MAY NOT exit vehicles on campus until they have completed the daily screening with a P.K. Yonge staff member, and family members must stay in their vehicles while on campus.
SECONDARY students arriving at school WITHOUT A CHROMEBOOK and CHARGER will NOT be permitted to exit their vehicles in the drop-off area. Students and families will either return home to pick up Chromebooks or will be directed to the Performing Arts Center if they have not yet been issued a Chromebook. Please review First Day Procedures for both on-campus and off-campus students in elementary and secondary school. Secondary Virtually P.K. students, please adjust your start time to 8:10am on Monday morning. We expect a slight delay to our start time as on-campus students become familiar with new locations and routines.
Please anticipate that there may be technical issues that impact students accessing classes during the first week. We will work with families to resolve issues as they arise. Please submit the Tech Support Form if you encounter access issues.
