Students Without Chromebooks on First Day of School
August 22, 2020If your student does not have a Chromebook, please read below for important information.
We ask families to review the Code of Student Conduct, the Technology – Acceptable Use Policy, and other policies included on the Policies and Publications page. All Policy Agreements must be completed and signed for Chromebooks and log-in credentials to be issued. Paper copies of policy agreements will also be available at the time of pick-up.
ELEMENTARY
OFF-Campus Virtually P.K. Students | K-5
If your student has not yet been issued a Chromebook and log-in credentials, please contact the Main Office (mainoffice@pky.ufl.edu) on Wednesday August 26 in order to set up time to pick up your device (Details). Students will not be able to participate in online learning activities until students receive their devices and log-in credentials.
SECONDARY – ON CAMPUS
ON-Campus Students WITHOUT Chromebooks on the First Day
if your student does not have a Chromebook on the first day of school and has not been issued a Chromebook, you will be directed to the Performing Arts Center. Families and students must be present and paperwork must be signed before a student may be assigned a Chromebook. Students cannot be dropped off for school without their assigned Chromebook AND charger. Chromebooks may be picked up at this time. Please expect a wait time.
If your student has been issued a Chromebook and does not bring it to school, the student will not be permitted to exit the vehicle on campus. Families will need to return home to pick up a student’s Chromebook.
SECONDARY – OFF CAMPUS
OFF-Campus Students WITHOUT Chromebooks on the First Day
If your student does not have a Chromebook on the first day of school, please come to the Performing Arts Center between 9-12 noon on Monday, August 24. A parent/guardian and student must be present and paperwork must be signed before a student may be assigned a Chromebook. Chromebooks may be picked up at this time. Please expect a wait time.
NEW to P.K. Students – ON or OFF Campus
If you are a new-to-P.K. family who has not yet received your Chromebook, please contact the Main Office (mainoffice@pky.ufl.edu) on Wednesday August 26 in order to set up time to pick up your device (Details).
