Juniors, are you looking to build your resume for college application?  Clay Electric has sponsored a Youth Tour to Washington, DC Contest.  The program provides one 11th grade student from 30 different high schools the opportunity to represent their school in a contest consisting of a written quiz and speech contest, all expenses paid.  One PK Yonge student will be selected to go to Tallahassee for an all-expense paid trip to visit the capital and compete in the contest.   The winner of the speech contest and written exam will travel to Washington, D.C. for an all-expense paid trip.  You will meet legislators and tour historic places.  For more information, see Mrs. McElroy or Ms. Corbin.

OM Fundraiser

Attention Middle and High school students, The Odyssey of the Mind club will be holding a fundraising event during Middle and High School Lunch during the week of November 13th through 17th.

Winter Guard

Winter Guard auditions will take place on Tuesday, Nov 14th, and Thursday 16th, from 3-5 pm in the band room.  Winter Guard consists of dance performance using flags, rifles, and sabers.  No experience necessary!  There will be a JV and Varsity team open to middle school and high school students.  You might be accustomed to seeing the guard with the marching band, however, the Winter Guard is a group that rehearses and competes after the fall marching band season, and although related, is separate from the band.  Auditions are Tuesday, Nov 14th, and Thursday, Nov 16th. Contact Mr. Marski or Mrs. Burg if you have questions.  Hope to see you there.

Come see your peers at PKY Unplugged present their bands and talents! The cost is $3 or three canned goods. PKY Unplugged is Nov 15 from 7-9pm. Tickets are on sale at lunch, at the door or through Hometown Ticket App.

Please pause for a moment of silence:

Please stand for the pledge:

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Have a wonderful day Blue Wave!
