Words of Wisdom

This week is School Counseling Week. We’ve all been told to just ask for help. But we know that is often easier said than done. We may feel embarrassed, shy, or even afraid to ask. We may also feel like we should already know the answer or that no one else is feeling what we feel. There’s an Italian proverb that says: There is no helping him who will not be advised. We can’t get the help we need if we don’t ask. Everyone faces challenges in life. Everyone needs help at times. Everyone. Sometimes, we forget that our school counselors are an important resource for help. They became school counselors because they care about young people and want to help them become successful human beings. If you’re not sure how to manage a situation, seek out your school counselor and ‘just ask’. And, while you’re at it, thank them for the amazing work they do.

With something to think about, make it a great day. The choice is yours!
