Good morning! Today is Friday, February 6th. Before Oprah Winfrey and Michael Jordan joined the billionaire’s club, Robert Johnson became the first African American billionaire when he sold the cable station he founded, Black Entertainment Television (BET) in 2001.

Also, this week is National School Counseling Week!  We are so fortunate to have you!  We appreciate you-Mrs. Bogart, Mrs. Walker, and Mrs. McElroy. Thank you for all you do!

Godspell

Come see Godspell! Prepare ye for the timeless tale of friendship, loyalty and love constructed as a group of parables based on the Gospel of Matthew and filled with favorite songs such as “Day by Day” and “We Beseech Thee” this a joyous celebration of friendship, love and devotion to high ideals. GODSPELL is a show for everyone. The show runs from Wednesday, February 15th -Saturday, February 18th. All at 7pm

Tickets are on sale  in the homestead app. Look for posters around campus with a QR code to purchase.

K/1 Coffee Co. 

Reminder for all middle and high school students that the K/1 coffee company will be selling hot coffee, cold brew, and hot chocolate for $5.00 by the student parking lot. Cash only. Every Friday. 

Seniors – Yearbook College Choice Page

Seniors – do you know where you are going to college next year? Want to show your new school some spirit? The yearbook would love to feature you in your new school colors. BSU 

The Black Student Union will meet Today, Feb. 6th, in Ms. Hemmerich’s room during High School Lunch. All are strongly requested and welcomed to attend.

Gospel Choir Rehearsal 

In preparation for the Black History Month performance, the Gospel Choir will rehearse Tuesday, Feb. 7th, in Ms. Hemmerich’s room during High School Lunch. All are strongly requested and welcomed to participate.

Congrats JV Robotics Team 

Congratulations to our JV robotics team, Steel Eels. This weekend they traveled to Jacksonville to compete in the North East Florida League Tournament. They finished in the first ranked finalist alliance, won the Think Award, and won second place for the Inspiration Award. They’ve earned a spot in the Florida State Championships and will compete in early March. Way to go Eelies!
