Announcing the Chris Morris Arts Endowment Summer Experience Scholarship

We are excited to announce the Chris Morris Arts Endowment Summer Experience Scholarship!
The purpose of the CMAE Summer Experience Scholarship is to assist an interested rising junior or senior to attend a summer art institute, camp, or class. The program will be researched and chosen by the student and parents. The parents and students are responsible for evaluating the quality of the offering, reviewing the history, recommendations, requirements, and safety protocols, as well as applying for the summer experience.
The Applicant: The applicant should be a student who has shown unique dedication to artistic pursuits. At least two teachers/mentors must recommend the applicant.
The Application Process: PK Yonge will call for applications in December of each year. The selected candidate will be announced in February.
The Scholarship: A single $1500 stipend will be applied directly to the program after the student is accepted. If several applicants request smaller amounts totaling $1500, more than one recipient may be chosen.
Some Considerations: In order to be selected for the scholarship, the student must:
- Be in good standing academically and behaviorally at PKY
- Be recommended by two teachers/mentors
- Meet all deadlines
- Submit details of the desired program, including description,location, duration, costs
- Include any information concerning qualifying need for assistance to attend
- If accepted, work with the PKY Business Office to request funds
