K/1 Coffee

Reminder for all middle and high school students that the K/1 coffee company will be selling hot coffee, cold brew, and hot chocolate for $5.00 by the student parking lot. Cash only. Every Friday. 

Book Club

Book Club will meet in Mrs. Czyz’s room, 333, on Monday, March 6 during lunch to discuss our book up to page 100. See you all there!

Color Run

Register now for the PK Yonge Color Run.  On Saturday, April 1st runners or walkers will follow a 1 mile loop around PK Yonge Campus.  You will be dosed head to toe in different color powder at multiple points along the route.  The fee includes an event t-shirt and all funds raised go towards the PKY Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week in May.  Visit the PKY Facebook Page or stop by the front office for the QR code to register.  Registration ends March 8th, so don’t miss out on this colorful awesome time! 

Powder Buff Volleyball

Attention high school students – if you are interested in coming to the powder buff volleyball game during 3rd period on Thursday, March 9th, purchase your tickets during high school lunch starting today. Tickets cost $3 each and you must not have an attendance or behavior contract in order to attend.

No BSU Meeting

There will be a BSU Meeting, today, during High School Lunch in Ms. Hemmerich’s room. BSU t-shirts will be distributed during this meeting.

Congrats Steel Eels! 

Congratulations to our high-school, JV robotics TEAM18317 Steel Eels!

The Eels traveled to Winter Haven this past weekend, to the Florida State Championships, where they WON 1st Place! They were the 1st Place Seeded Alliance Captain, winning both their division AND the overall state competition.

Currently, they are #1 out of 221 Teams in the state of Florida, have the highest score in the state of Florida in a single game, and hold one of the top 6 scores in the United States.

The team will be traveling to FIRST World Championships to compete with their robot in April. Way to go Steel Eels!

Congrats Baseball! 

Congratulations to Blue Wave Baseball for defeating West Port on Friday night. JV won 2-0 and Varsity won 8-3. Way to go, Blue Wave!

Winterguard

Are you interested in learning more about  Winterguard? Come out to the Alachua county Winterguard interest showcase! All Alachua county high school winterguard teams (including PK Yonge) will be performing a showcase of their 2023 programs at Buchholz HS this Friday March 10th starting at 6:00pm in the gym. Admission is free and we hope to see you there!
