Student: Ja’mm Hostetler National Merit Semifinalist

Last week the National Merit Scholarship Program announced semifinalists in the 63rd annual National Merit Scholarship Competition. National Merit semifinalists are the highest scoring entrants in each state and represent less than one percent of the seniors in the United States.
P.K. Yonge Senior Ja’mm Hostetler is one of the 16,000 semifinalists of the more than 1.6 million students who competed in their junior year by taking the 2016 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT).
As a semi-finalist, Ja’mm will have the opportunity to compete for approximately 7,500 Merit Scholarship awards totaling $32 million.
