Student: Senior Completes UF Student Science Training Program

Congratulations to P.K. Yonge Class of 2018 Senior Elif Kilic on her completion of the highly prestigious 59th Annual Student Science Training Program at the University of Florida (UF SSTP).

This program is designed for academically-talented upper level high school students  who are interested in pursuing a STEM-related career. Elif was one of only 3 participants chosen from Alachua county.

Elif worked under the supervision of Dr. Eric McLamore in the College of Engineering on a research project titled Characterization of Carbon Dot Nano Sensor for Environmental Water Quality Measurements.
