Middle School Students and Gainesville’s Sister Cities

Students from Duhok, Iraq & P.K. Yonge joined the official Sister Cities signing event in zoom on Monday, March 8.

As part of their coursework in a Middle School project-based learning class students collaborated across borders and across time zones to develop content for the Gainesville Sister Cities website and propose designs for a commemorative artwork that pays tribute to the sister cities with whom Gainesville is connected.

Students involved in the project work participated in the official Sister Cities Agreement Signing which was hosted in zoom and included participants from Gainesville and Duhok, Iraq.
