Julia Polefko – Sunshine State Scholar 2019

Congratulations to Julia Polefko on being named P.K. Yonge’s Sunshine State Scholar.

The Sunshine State Scholar program recognizes top 11th grade students from each Florida district in the areas of science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM). Julia, accompanied by family members, will travels to Orlando in June 2019 for two-day program that brings together Florida’s high school STEM scholars.

The program also includes an opportunity for the Commissioner of Education to honor the students for their academic accomplishments and for the potential they represent the State of Florida. Students will also have the opportunity to meet with representatives from colleges and universities to discuss higher education opportunities available to them in Florida.
