Dr. Pennypacker Hill Appointed as P.K. Yonge Elementary School Principal
July 24, 2023PK is a school on the rise. With the 2023-24 school year, expectations for academic achievement and student performance will expand. To support enhanced expectations for our students, more intensive instructional leadership and administrative support will be provided for faculty and staff.
P.K. Yonge has appointed Dr. Ashley Pennypacker Hill as Principal for Elementary School (K-5), effective with the 2023-24 school year. Dr. Pennypacker Hill has served PK with excellence in both teaching and administrative roles, most recently as the Director of Elementary Programs.
As Principal for Elementary School, Dr. Pennypacker Hill will be K-5’s instructional leader and oversee all elementary programs and operations. Please join me in congratulating Dr. Pennypacker Hill on her promotion as she accepts this tremendous responsibility.
Dr. Carrie Geiger will continue to serve as Principal for Middle and High School. Dr. Geiger will be the school’s instructional leader for Middle School and High School and oversee 6-12 programs and operations.
These administrative assignments align with PK’s plan to enhance the student experience, provide for a more rigorous and competitive academic program, and thus raise the stature of the school.
With this increased emphasis on instructional leadership, I encourage the P.K. Yonge community to continue to collaborate to meet the needs of each of our 1,302 learners. We are better together. Our students will be the beneficiaries of students, parents, teachers, staff, and administrators moving forward in unison to create a model learning community for others to emulate and in which we may all be proud.
