P.K Yonge Combines the Arts and Science Research

This year’s spring musical, Little Shop of Horrors, showcased more than stellar performances by the cast, it highlighted the connection between brain development, brain health and performing arts.

According to UF neuropsychologist Cate Price, musical theatre has positive impacts for both performers and members of the audience. For performers like Neo Geiger, being involved in performing arts from an early age had a positive impact on his language development in addition to being a means of self expression.
