Update: Mask Requirement 05.17.2021

May 18, 2021

On Monday, May 17, UF released a statement that makes masks optional on the UF campus.

The CDC recommends that K-12 schools continue to use current COVID-19 prevention strategies, including the use of masks indoors and maintaining physical distance for the remainder of the 2020-21 school year. See: Operational Strategy for K-12 Schools through Phased Prevention.

Our student population is different from the UF student population and the majority of our student community is not fully vaccinated*. While masks are now optional in all UF facilities including P.K. Yonge, we encourage members of the school community to finish the last 8 days of the school year in compliance with CDC recommendations and to wear masks indoors.

We are eager to complete our school year with all members of our community in good health and look forward to beginning a new school year in August.
