Update and Planning Regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19) 03.09.2020

We continue to monitor the situation regarding coronavirus (COVID-19) and are making preparations should local events impact school attendance.

At present (March 9), school is in session and there is NO indication that we need to close school. If local events have the potential to impact school attendance, decisions regarding school closure will be made in consultation with the University of Florida, Alachua County Health Department, Alachua County Emergency Services, and the Florida Department of Education. In the event that changes to the school schedule are required, families will be notified via email and phone.

Regarding instruction in the event of school closure, we are working to determine the best courses of action and identify appropriate tools should we be in a position to substitute remote instruction for face-to-face class meetings.

Our custodial crew has implemented modified cleaning operations in alignment with CDC recommendations and will carry out additional deep cleaning during Spring Break.
