Tropical Storm Ian – Sunday 9/25/22 Update

P.K. Yonge is keeping informed of the progress of Tropical Storm Ian through close contact with the University of Florida. P.K. Yonge follows the lead of the University of Florida regarding closures and re-opening. We will provide updates regarding expected impacts or schedule changes at P.K. Yonge as information becomes available. 

The storm track is being actively monitored and UF Emergency Management is informed via calls with local and state forecasters and emergency teams. 

We are not part of the Alachua County School District, and do not follow district decisions often informed by disruptions to bus routes, access to power, and their need to provide storm shelters.
