September 14, 2017Today is Thursday, September 14th, 2017 and today is a B Day!
It is our hope that you and your family made it through Hurricane Irma unharmed. If there is anything we can do to help your family during this time, please see a guidance counselor or ask a teacher for help.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
School picture day has been rescheduled for next Thursday, Sept. 21st. Please come to school looking your best.
National Art Honor Society has its first meeting today during high school power hour. We will be discussing officer positions and begin the voting process.
The Gainesville Community Playhouse will be holding auditions for “Annie” Sunday September 17th at 5pm for children and 7pm for adults.
Please come out and audition. If you can’t make it Sunday, additional auditions will be held Monday the 18th at 6pm.
This year PK is holding our first ever DM Homecoming Dance, but we need your opinion on what you want. There is a google form that all high school students must fill out on PK’s student government twitter @PKYongeGov. This form is very important so please do that ASAP. Let’s have a great homecoming dance.
Middle School Softball Club will begin 9/28 after school from 2:45 – 3:45. Please see Mr. Steffens or the info on PK website for details. There’s still time to sign up.
There will be a girls’ soccer interest meeting on Tuesday, September 19th at 12pm in Coach Hazan’s portable. All interested girls please attend.
The football game against Bronson scheduled for tomorrow night has been canceled. The golf match and volleyball game scheduled for tonight have also been canceled.
At this time, it is our understanding that the swim meet scheduled for today will still take place beginning at 5 PM. Go Blue Wave!
The Varsity Volleyball match against Maclay has been rescheduled for Friday at 5:30 PM in the Maclay gym.
The September Scholarship Newsletter is available! There are many scholarships for seniors, so please visit the PK Yonge website or the School Counseling Twitter to take a look.
WaveRunner members! Please be advised that we will no longer be meeting on Thursdays, and instead, will be switched to Monday afternoons at 11:45 am during Power Hour. We will re-gather on Monday, September 18th.
