Summer Meals for Children

A reminder that P.K. Yonge students 18 years old and younger can receive free breakfast and lunch from Alachua County Public Schools Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) Department.

For this weekend of May 30 and 31, meals will be provided on Friday from 11am – 1pm for Saturday and Sunday.

Children do not have to be enrolled at a particular school or program to receive meals.

Summer Meals

Meals will continue through the summer and there are 70 distribution sites throughout Alachua County. That includes schools, community sites and even stops along school bus routes that serve a large proportion of high-needs students.

Monday- Thursday, children will receive a grab-and-go breakfast, lunch and snack for seven days that will be distributed throughout the week. Click Here for how the meals will be distributed throughout the week.  At the schools and community sites, meals will be distributed from 11am – 1pm. The bus drop-off times will vary depending on the stop and route. Families are urged to check the schedule for bus stop distribution.

Children do not have to be enrolled at a particular school or program to receive meals.

Children do not have to be eligible for free and reduced-price meals during the regular school year to take advantage of the program.
