Social Media Concerns

We’ve been made aware of a social media account using the P.K. Yonge logo without authorization. This site is publishing inappropriate content and includes content used to bully other students and cause significant disruption within the school community. Individuals responsible for the social media account and posts will be subject to disciplinary actions as outlined in the Code of Student Conduct.

Student safety and well-being is of utmost importance and bullying is not tolerated on campus. Efforts are currently underway to shut the social media account down and identify responsible parties.

Students and families should also know that unauthorized use of the school logo is a violation of law.

Social media is such a strong presence in all of our lives and its impact can be positive or negative. We ask school families to help us keep students’ online and social media activities safe and positive as we all strive to maintain a school community where students can be free from bullying.
