P.K. Yonge’s Plan for COVID-Related Communication

August 24, 2020

And we’re off! The 2020-21 school year has officially started.

Our Reopening Plan 2020-21 has been designed to minimize the impact of any COVID-related event on campus by limiting the number of students, teachers, and staff who interact with each other.

These plans, developed with guidance from our experts at UF Health, include our COVID-19 Campus Response plan, which will be implemented when we encounter COVID-related events on campus.

Though we have worked to develop plans that include limiting interaction, we fully expect to encounter COVID-related events during the semester.

Limiting the number of individuals who interact with each other on campus is one way we limit the impact and reach of COVID-related events on campus.

When we encounter COVID-related events on campus, UF Health will lead our response and will communicate only with families directly affected by any COVID-related event at P.K. Yonge.

In accordance with privacy laws, P.K. Yonge WILL NOT communicate with the whole school community regarding COVID-19 events and WILL NOT send communications campus-wide regarding positive COVID-19 diagnoses or exposure.

We are so grateful for the continued support of students, families, faculty, and staff and for your efforts to help us maintain systems to limit interactions and limit the impact of COVID-19 on campus.
