Middle School Football Options

For those interested in middle school football, we have a two different options depending on grade levels. For P.K. Yonge sixth and seventh graders, the Boys and Girls Club of Alachua County Middle School football program is an excellention option. P.K. Yonge eighth graders will play on the P.K. Yonge J.V. team.

For Sixth and Seventh Graders: Boys and Girls Club Blue Wave Team** | Register

P.K. Yonge 2019-2020 sixth and seventh grade students have the opportunity to participate in the Boys and Girls Club of Alachua County Middle School football program. This Blue Wave team is not a P.K. Yonge sponsored team but rather a Boys and Girls Club team comprised of P.K.Yonge students and students from other schools.

The Blue Wave Boys and Girls Club team will be defending champions after a great season last year largely due to the excellent efforts of Travis McGriff, John Sanchez, and Randy Brower. John Sanchez will be returning to help lead the team to another fun and successful season. This program is for all schools in Alachua County and families can expect another excellent season. And the Blue Wave Boys and Girls Club team is focused on teaching kids how to play football well, where player safety and fun are the foundation to success.

Children who attend schools that do not have teams in the boy’s club league can also join the Blue Wave Boys and Girls Club team.  Last year’s team was predominantly players from P.K. Yonge, but there were also players who were homeschooled or from schools without teams such as Queen of Peace, Howard Bishop and Lincoln. For Eighth Grade Students: P.K. Yonge Junior Varsity Team

P.K. Yonge eighth graders will play on our P.K. Yonge J.V. team. This P.K. Yonge sponsored team will be made up of primarily eighth and ninth graders with some tenth graders.  We look forward to all future eighth graders continuing to bring their enthusiasm and winning attitudes to this team!
