September 12, 2018We love our school and are excited to celebrate P.K. Yonge Homecoming September 17-20!
Activities will take place between Monday and Thursday [Friday is a student holiday], and don’t forget that there’s a Homecoming Game and a Dance on Friday night.
THEME: “Forever Yonge”
SPIRIT DAYS
Monday – Character Day (Dress up as your favorite TV, movie, or book character.)
Tuesday – Twin Tuesday (Imitate another person’s clothing.)
Wednesday – Decades Day (Dress up in clothing of the 50s, 60s, 70s, etc.)
Thursday – Spirit Day (Show your Blue Wave Spirit.)
The three best-dressed students each day will win Chick-fil-A lunch for a day. To participate you must show up in front of the cafeteria by 8am each morning during Homecoming Week dressed to fit the theme. The results will be announced each afternoon. The entire student body will also vote for the best dressed teacher each day. To vote go to the Student Government Twitter account and click on the link.
HIGH TIDE PEP RALLY: Wednesday, September 19, 7pm
Join us for High Tide, a special PKY tradition, on Wednesday night. The JV and Varsity Cheerleaders, our High School Student Council Officers, the Varsity Football Team, and the Homecoming Court nominees will celebrate P.K. Yonge Homecoming with games, band performances, spirit activities and the announcement of the Homecoming Court. Tickets are $5 and are available from the Business Office.
PARADE: Thursday, September 20, 9am
Join us for the P.K. Yonge Homecoming parade. Celebrate the Homecoming King and Queen, clubs and groups, seniors, kindergartners, alumni, and more!

HOMECOMING FOOTBALL GAME – Friday, September 21, 7:30pm
Our Homecoming Football game is on Friday, September 21, 2018 and starts at 7:30pm. Wear your P.K. spirit gear and cheer on the home team!
HOMECOMING DANCE – Friday, September 21, 9pm
After cheering the football team to victory Friday, come to the Homecoming Dance in the gym. The Dance lasts from 9pm to 11:30pm and dress is semi-formal. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased in the Business Office.
