Health Smart Presents:

P.A.C.K: Pack Assorted Colors for Kids!

The P.K. Yonge Health Smart Committee is a collaborative research initiative purposed to help our faculty, students, and family develop better health and wellness habits. At the same time, we gather research data that we can share as a part of our mission to design, test, and disseminate promising educational practice across the state and beyond.

The P.K. Yonge Health Smart Committee asks for your participation in a simple five-day educational program aimed at encouraging kids to eat more fruits and vegetables, as well as wider color variety, while at home and school.  Each day of the P.A.C.K. five-day program is assigned a different color to help children focus on broadening their selection of fruits and vegetables. Whether children buy lunch at school or “pack” it from home, they’ll be encouraged to include fruits and vegetables of the color of the day in their snacks and lunches. For more fun, have your child wear something to match the color of the day!
