Elementary Open House, 9/6, 5:30pm
August 29, 2018UWe are so excited for the 2018-19 school year! Join us on September 6 in the Elementary Building for Elementary Open House. Students and families meet teachers, spend time in the learning communities, and learn more about student life in the P.K. Yonge Elementary School.
During Open House families choose how to organize their schedules. The event has three sessions for visits to learning communities, teachers, art, music, and PE.
Thursday, September 6 | 5:30-6:40pm
Open House Activities | Elementary Building Learning Communities
5:30 pm – 5:50 pm – Session 1
5:55 pm – 6:15 pm – Session 2
6:20 pm – 6:40 pm – Session 3
K/1 Learning Community
Visit your child’s grade level teacher’s room. Each session will include the following:
- Learn about the school day
- Check out your child’s work
- Spend time in the room and learning community
2/3 Learning Community
Visit your child’s grade level teacher’s room. Each session will include the following:
- Meet the teachers
- Participate in some classroom activities with your child
- Spend time in the room and learning community
- An information packet will be available for all families to take home
4/5 Learning Community
Visit the Learning Community and choose from the topics below. All three topics will be available each session. To hear all topics, spend all 3 sessions in the 4/5 Learning Community. Caregivers are welcome to bring their personal devices to engage in our electronic resources!
- Topic 1 : Google Classroom
- Topic 2 : How do I support my learner?
- Topic 3 : Typical Day in 4/5
- An information packet will be available for all families to take home
