Elementary Music Expo | May 29 | 6:30pm

May 18, 2018

School is NOT OVER YET, time for one more big EVENT!
Make plans to attend the 1st ever P.K. Yonge Elementary MUSIC EXPO!

Come see student demonstrations by all grade levels, Kindergarten through 5th grade at the P.K. Yonge Elementary Music Celebration

All P.K. Yonge elementary students are welcome to participate at the ELEMENTARY MUSIC EXPO on Tuesday, May 29th. The starting time is 6:30 p.m.

All grade levels are invited to participate in music and movement demonstrations and performances.

Kindergarten and first graders are invited to participate in music and movement demonstrations.

Second graders are invited to participate in more demonstrations with the third grade students. Third graders will perform on drums and sing “A Whole New World” from Aladdin. Fourth and Fifth graders will demonstrate new rhythmic and ukulele lessons and perform “My Shot” from the hit show Hamilton! The show will conclude with a K – 5 dance “Can’t Stop the Feeling!” a celebration of elementary music classes this year. To that end, I have designed the expo so that each student MAY PICK AND CHOOSE EACH ACTIVITY THEY WISH TO PARTICIPATE. Students will exit and enter the stage as they are called to the stage from the audience.

For picture taking opportunities I am asking that all students who wish to participate wear jeans and a P.K. Yonge T-shirt, this will make for great visuals on-stage for your family pictures.

THERE IS NO PERMISSION SLIP OR FORM TO FILL OUT for any student to participate. The ONLY requirement for any students to participate is that they attend the EXPO with their family on May 29th. No rehearsals are necessary.

Parents will learn about some great applications and digital tools for music that are applicable for their students.
