Donations for Puerto Rico – Deadline: November 9th

November 3, 2017

Sra. Santiago and Sra. Rodriguez are collecting donated items for students in Puerto Rico until Thursday November 9th. Their club members will be organizing and sorting donations after that date.

List of school items to donate:

Backpacks (new or old, but in good condition)
Notebooks
Lined paper
Pencils
Sharpeners
Pens
Pencil cases
Rulers
Erasers
Crayons
Coloring books
Scissors
Construction paper
Glue/glue sticks
Folders
Snacks
Small Board Games

Even though classes started in only 22 public schools in Puerto Rico, around 1,113 public schools have been affected not only because facilities are not in good condition, but also because students lost school materials and some families are still using schools as shelters.

We would like to help in a way that students can go back to school with what they need. More schools are eager to open and some will be opening soon for half day since they are still lacking electricity.
