Bulletin Board Reminders
Please remember to only put flyers and notices on bulletin boards. Anything taped to windows or doors will be removed and thrown away.
Cafeteria West Line
The west line of the cafeteria will be closed this week. Please plan accordingly.
NJHS
National Junior Honor Society will hold a short meeting on Thursday after school in Mrs. Fab’s classroom. All members should plan to attend.
Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers
The Hispanic Honor Society is sponsoring the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, their first meeting will be this Thursday,
October 5th after school in room L-354. Please join us to learn about them.
Global Awareness Club
The Global Awareness club is looking for dancers, singers and musicians for the Culture Festival on November 7th. Please see Mrs. Santiago before school, during lunch or after school if you are interested in participating and receiving Community service hours.
Thespians
There is a Thespian meeting Thursday, October 5th during HS lunch in Mrs. Hemmerich’s room.
Blood Drive
One Blood will be here Sept 29- Oct 4 for sign up to donate blood on October 5. You will need a valid ID and be 16 or older. Sign up will be during high school lunch. If you have questions, see an NHS member or Dr. Bolejack.
Voter Registration
Attention all high schoolers age 16 and up: Are you registered to vote? If not PK Student Government invites you to stop by the cafeteria any day from October 2nd to the 5th during high school lunch to register. All you need is your ID and the last four digits of your social security number. Register to vote so that you can make a difference. See you there!
High Tide
Calling all Blue Wave students and staff, High Tide is right around the corner. Come out and feel the P.K Yonge school spirit with this year’s High Tide, featuring games, music, and much more on Wednesday, October 11th at 7 P.M! Tickets are $5.00 on the HomeTown Ticketing App. Check the TV’s in the commons for more information and the QR code to purchase tickets. Hope to see you there!
Homecoming Spirit Days
Homecoming week is next week, October 9th-13th. We hope to see all of you participating in the spirit days.
- Monday, October 9th is Barbie vs. Oppenheimer. Pick which movie you want to represent.
- Tuesday, October 10th is Rhymes Without Reason. Dress up with a friend as two things that rhyme!
- Wednesday, October 11th is Country vs. Country Club. Put on your best cowboy boots or tennis skirt.
- Thursday, October 12th is Throwback Thursday! Dress like your favorite decade.
- Friday, October 13th is Spirit Day!!! Let’s see that P.K. gear.
