Black History Fact

Black History Fact: Anthony Benezet, a white Quaker, abolitionist, and educator, is credited with creating the first public school for African American children in the early 1770s.

Congrats Softball

Congratulations to the softball team for their 15-5 run-rule win over North Marion last night.

Congrats Baseball 

High fives to the varsity baseball team for their 10-6 win over Branford last night as well.  Way to play, Blue Wave!

Congrats Boys Tennis

Congratulations to the boys tennis team for a big win over Gainesville High School last night. Shout out to freshmen Owen, Matyas, and Asher as well as 7th grader Isaiah for match-clinching victories. 

Congrats Girls Tennis

Congratulations to the girls varsity tennis team on their 7-0 win against Columbia last night and good luck to the girls when they face Seven Rivers in Crystal River on Friday! 

Congrats Yongesters

Your friendly neighborhood Yongesters softball team earned its first victory last night. Down 2 runs in the last inning, the teachers rallied to score 3 runs and win 15-14. If you see Mr. Poole, Mrs. Bing, Dr. Marchman, Dr. Sheppard, Mr. Marski, Mrs. Romine, Mr. Commeret, Mr. Linne, or Mr. Kovach today, give them a shout out. 

Hispanic Honor Society

There will not be a Hispanic Honor Society meeting this Wednesday 2/28


There will be a UNICEF meeting this Thursday. 

Blood Drive

Attention high school students. Our next Blood Drive is March 7th. You must be 16 or older and have an ID. Sign ups will be at high school lunch starting Feb 28th. You are provided snacks and lunch on the day of the blood drive. See Dr. Bolejack if you have questions.
