Good morning, Blue Wave.  Today is Wednesday, October 25th and it is an A Day!

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Congratulations to the middle school football team for winning the Suwannee Middle School Athletic Conference Championship!

All members participating in Poetry Out Loud will meet tomorrow.  You must come with two poems memorized and ready to present.

Ladies and Gentleman! Children of all ages!  Get your tickets NOW for the fall play, DRACULA!  Performances start tomorrow at 7:00 and 2:00 pm. Come to DRACULA!, for the fright of your life!  Muah, ha, ha!

Team spots are still open for the 16-team, 3-on-3 Waverunner Basketball Tournament. Registration is $7 per person. Five people must be on each team. For those who have already signed up, please see Jerome Reed as soon as possible to pay for entry! For sign-up details, Jerome and Judah Carroll. The tournament will be held on Saturday, November 4th.

The SADD club is celebrating Red Ribbon Week this whole week. So come by the SADD table today during lunch to fill out your “Key to a successful life.”  Where do you see yourself 10 years from now?

SADD Events:

Today: Count the amount Skittles in the jar and win it if you are the closest one.

Thursday: Name the Fact–Recite one fact that you see up on the walls of campus and we will give you a piece of candy.

Friday: Dress Up in All RED. The middle school and the high student who’s voted by the SADD members as Mostly and Best dressed in all RED will be awarded a $10 Chick-Fil-A gift card!  You must come by the table to contend for this contest.

School Counseling:

Juniors and Seniors! Look for an email coming your way regarding the free SAT in November for Alachua County students. If your parent/guardian does not receive this email and you would like to take advantage of the opportunity, please come see Ms. Bryen before October 25th.

Students participating in the Global Day on December 1st, need to see Mrs. Santiago today during lunch or right after school. This is a mandatory meeting. Please remember that this event is sponsored by UNICEF High School and the Hispanic Honor Society.

TEC day has been move to November 2nd; all students helping with TEC day and helping during the Fall Carnival on November 3rd, need to see Mrs. Santiago and the Hispanic Honor Society president, Francisco Aguirre.

Athletics:

There will be a meeting for all boys interested in playing middle school basketball this Friday @ 12:15 in the community classroom.  We will discuss tryouts and the upcoming season.
