Attention Seniors:
The Edna M Hart Keeper of the Dream Scholarship is right around the corner. This scholarship is awarded to one Alachua County student every year and recognizes students who demonstrate strong community service, academics, and a commitment to the ideals of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. If you are interested, see Ms. Bryen for an application. The application is due TOMORROW

Attention 8th – 11th grade students:
Scholarship applications for travel to China in 2019 are due TODAY. For an application form please visit the international activities page on the website under the extracurricular tab. Completed applications can be dropped off at the front office. If you have any questions please contact Ms. Henderson.

Performing Arts Students: Please pick up your Yankee Candle Orders in Dr. Harris’ and Ms Snyder’s rooms.  Your orders are boxed and ready to go!

Picture Retakes will be Tuesday, November 6th. Students and staff who have not been photographed should report to the PAC between 7:45 am – 10:00 am. Students will return to class with a time-stamped pass.

Support your award winning PK Yonge Marching Band. After the Homecoming Parade on November 02,  who wants to cook? Please join us at the PDQ Family Fun Night on University Ave/ 34th St. from 4-9 PM. Treat yourself to dinner AND entertainment. The AWARD WINNING PK band will be playing from 5:30-7 PM. Your band could really use some support as they get ready to head to the next two competitions, including the State Band Competition.

National Junior Honor Society will meet in Mrs. Beckett’s room, I-109, TOMORROW.  This is an important planning meeting. Please bring your lunch.

Varsity Basketball cheerleading tryouts will be on Monday, November 5th from 3-6pm in K-327 (Mrs. Bainter’s Room).  Please pick-up the tryout packet from the front office, Coach Barrett or cheer Coach Wantanisha Morant.  Packets must be turned in to Coach Barrett’s mailbox by Monday, October 29th at 2:30pm.

Congratulations to the boys and girls swim teams who each won their district championships yesterday!

Attention Middle School Students;
There will be a lunchtime kindness club meeting today, Wednesday.  Look for the blue tablecloths. If you are entering the design competition for the next mural, please remember to bring your design.

National Art Honor Society meets Thursdays during High School lunch in Mr. Moody’s room.

TODAY is Halloween.  If you chose to celebrate by wearing a costume, please remember the following guidelines:

  1. No masks
  2. Costumes must meet regular dress code requirements.
  3. We are a K-12 campus –You may not be wearing anything that would be too frightening to our youngest Blue Wave family members.
