Today is Wednesday, October 23rd, and it is a B Day.

Congratulations to Jake Davis who shot a 1 under par at the regional tournament to advance to his 4th straight state golf tournament.  Way to go, Jake!

JaNelle Morant is a finalist in the Buddy Davis speech contest held by the Florida Free Speech Forum. She delivered a speech about gun control and was in the top four in the county! Congratulations, JaNelle!

Congratulations also to the P.K. Yonge Swim and Dive Team, who just captured the Girls and Boys District Championship.  Way to go, Blue Wave!

Attention Tournament Arc: We will not be meeting this week.  See you next Tuesday, October 29th

There will be a creative photography club meeting in Ms. Johnson’s room during high school lunch TODAY. We will finalize our plan for the costume photo shoot next Tuesday, October 29th after school.

There will be a girls basketball meeting TODAY for girls 6-12th grade interested in trying out for this year’s team. The meeting will be at 2:30 in the aerobics room.

A reminder for all China travelers. There’s a meeting on Thursday (and every Thursday) in Mr. Kovach’s room at lunch time.

National Honor Society members who are on the Toys for Tots Leadership Team will meet with Dr. Weller in her classroom during lunch on Monday, 10/28.  This meeting is only for the NHS members who signed up to be on the Leadership Team for Toys for Tots.

Come see the fall play, GAME OF TIARAS, TOMORROW the 24th through Saturday the 26th! Go Thespians!

Attention all middle schoolers – Are you interested in joining a club to discuss various topics related to Feminism? Then join us! We’ll get together every Monday after school to share snacks and debate about issues relating to women today. Feminist Club will meet in Mrs. Montgomery’s room (I-110) on Mondays from 2:20-3:00. All Middle Schoolers are welcome! Hope to see you there!

Students:
As a reminder, no middle school or high school students should be entering the elementary building following dismissal. Students who are waiting for elementary siblings should wait on the north-end blue benches. Otherwise, students should go directly to the south-end of campus when dismissed from school. Thank you!

PK Homecoming is next week, and we are looking forward to an awesome celebration. Here is a list of dress up days so you can plan ahead:

Thursday — Twin Thursday — Find a friend (or friends) to match with!

Friday — Spirit Day — Deck out in your favorite Blue Wave gear! Go PK!

Our Homecoming High Tide event will take place on Tuesday, October 29th at 7 PM. High Tide tickets go on sale TODAY.  They can be purchased in advance at the Business Office for $5. If there are tickets left, they will be sold at the door as well.  To make sure you have a seat, purchase your ticket in advance.

Voting for Homecoming King and Queen and Prince and Princess will open THIS morning and close at the end of the day TOMORROW.  The link for King/Queen voting will be on the Senior Class Page. The link for Prince/Princess voting will be on Mr. Cabrera’s Class Page. Results will be announced at High Tide and during Halftime of the homecoming football game.

The Homecoming Parade will be on Friday. November 1st at 9:00 AM. If you plan to drive in the Homecoming Parade, sign up will take place this week TODAY, TOMORROW, and Friday during High School Lunch.  Please bring $10 cash with you to sign up. You must have a valid driver’s license and a PKY Parking Decal to drive in the Homecoming Parade.
