Chromebooks

Attention Students: Chromebook Reminders
You should all be bringing a charged device to school each day.  Please do not expect teachers to supply a charger for you.
Chromebooks should not be used during lunch.  They should be stored in lockers away from liquids and food.
It is our expectation that cases remain on the Chromebook at all times, especially for identification purposes.

Clubs

The Creative Photography Walk has been postponed for tomorrow morning. It will be rescheduled for next week.
Creative photography Club will meet Thursday after school in Ms. Johnson’s room.

The National Junior Honor Society is participating in the annual Campaign for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.  Every 3 minutes someone is diagnosed with a blood cancer and every nine minutes someone dies from it. Together we can raise some money to help scientists find a cure for this type of cancer.   All you have to do is donate any amount of money to the collection box in your first period class.  If we reach our goal of $1 per every person at the school, the first period class that collects the most money will receive a lunch from Olive Garden!  Thanks for your generosity!

Facilities

Students: due to repairs to the light poles around the football and baseball fields, the only field access for the outdoor sports complex during or after school is through the gate at the east end of the faculty parking lot.  If you are attending practices or workouts, all parking must be in the student parking lot in front of the gym.  Foot access to the fields is via the road behind the gym to the lacrosse fields. Do not climb the fence to walk through the football field – the area is restricted for safety reasons due to the removal of existing light poles and installation of new ones.

Health Smart Campaign

Today’s Health Smart Reminder: Eating a healthy snack allows you to add to your intake of essential nutrients. Fruits and vegetables add vitamins A and C, both of which are important for immunity, wound healing and teeth and gums. They also offer fiber and fill your stomach for very few calories. Add low-fat cheese, yogurt or hummus to increase protein intake, which is necessary for healthy muscles, skin, cells and hair. Whole grain crackers add complex carbohydrates and additional fiber. Low-fat dairy foods increase calcium intake, a nutrient that is needed for healthy bones. A handful of nuts at snack time adds healthy fats to your diet, which protect your heart and brain.

Lunch

Students: Just a reminder during lunch, designated areas are between the bridge and K-wing.  Students should not be in any other area unless there is a prearranged meeting with a teacher.
