The Youngsters softball team opened their season last night with two, hard fought, close losses. After falling behind early, in Game 1, the Youngsters were able to fight their way onto the score board, unfortunately it was not enough for the win, as the other had scored more runs. In Game 2, the Youngsters led 4 to 0 before the other team had a chance to hit. The oppressive humidity and puddled conditions on the field eventually wore down the Youngsters who relinquished the lead and were unable to overcome the deficit.
When asked by reporters about the losses, the coach said, “#1, we tried hard, and #2, we’re still dear friends.”
Please pause for a moment of silence: Hang up and start again for the pledge
Please stand for the pledge:
I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
Have a great day, Blue Wave!Back to Announcements >
