Announcements, Wed. 10-20-2021

Good morning! Today is Wednesday, October 20th.

“Students! Interested in a college fair? Go see multiple universities and state colleges but registering for this event! Go to the counseling canvas page, click announcements, and choose the announcement labeled “College Fair” for more information.”

Basketball Cheer Try-Outs will be held on Wednesday, October 27th from 4:30-6:30pm in the gym.  Please print a try-out packet off the cheer website or pick one up from the main office as try-out packets will be due to Coach Clark or Coach Barrett by Friday, October 22nd. They can be dropped off at the main office.

Climate Action Club will meet today, Wednesday, October 20 during high school lunch under the oak tree. See you there!

Girls Middle School Basketball try-outs will be held on Monday, October 25th from 3-4pm and Varsity Basketball try-outs will be held from 4-5:30pm.  Please have your FHSAA physical and parent consent form into Coach Barrett before try-outs begin on Monday.

Congratulations to the girls swim team who won the district championship and the boys swim team who were district runner-ups! Good luck at the regional meet next Tuesday in Jacksonville

Reminder to 3rd period teachers: Please share the Hispanic Heritage Presentation at the beginning of 3rd period today.  The presentation is less than 20 minutes long, and the link was in your email from Dr. Geiger on Monday.

Congratulations to Katelyn Huber who defended her title at the Jill Darr Invitational with a 7 under par 65 yesterday. Good luck at the John & Ann Ives Invitational on Thursday.

Come to the HALLOWEEN DANCE on FRIDAY October 29th.  $5 at the door to get in. Kick off the Halloween weekend with a dance just for high school. Halloween costumes are up to you!

 Please remember to contribute to UNICEF trick or treat campaign to help children around the world with meals and medicine. Our UNICEF students will be collecting donations during lunch at the cafeteria.

There will be a BSU meeting in Mr. Courtney’s classroom, This Thursday 10/21, directly after school. This is a mandatory meeting for ALL BSU members. Please email me @ ncourtney@pky.ufl.edu if you cannot make it. Thanks in advance.

Come see the fall play, A CHRISTMAS CAROL playing November 3rd through 6th in the Performing Arts Center. Tickets are only $7.  You can get your tickets in the Theatre room or the business office if you are paying with a credit card. Come see this awesome play, support the students involved, and get in the holiday spirit with A CHRISTMAS CAROL!
