Your hometown favorite Yongesters softball team was back in action late last night. Down 11 to 1 in the 2nd inning the team rallied behind Mrs. Bainter when she came in the dugout and said, “look at us, I think we are all best friends.” Mr. “the Wizard” Commeret started striking batters out, and the law firm of Mathien and Kovach hit homeruns. Finally, tied 19 to 19 in the last inning with 2 outs and a runner on second, Mr. Linne roped a single up the middle to score the winning run, extending the win streak to 5 weeks. Be kind to your teachers today they were up late.

Congratulations to the boys tennis team for their victory yesterday against Trinity Catholic. The girls team lost a close match, with wins by Adriana Sanchez, Emi Arnold, and Mackenzie Sagas. Shout out to Skyler Avery and Sydney Steigleman for an epic doubles match! Blue Wave tennis enters district playoffs next monday and tuesday at oak hall!

Attention all students! The weather is getting warm, and National Junior Honor Society will be selling popsicles for all who desire a refreshing treat. They will be on sale every Thursday in April and are $1 each.  The money will go towards the Middle School Spring Social happening April 29th!

This week is National Library Week and we’re celebrating in lots of ways! Check out our P.K. Libraries to see our teachers’ Read posters and lists of their favorite books. See if they can ‘catch you reading’ this week and win a prize.  If you get a ‘caught you reading’ coupon from your teacher, fill it out and put it the box at the library desk. On Friday, Mrs. Koppitch will draw names for 3 lucky winners – one for elementary, middle and high school. And every day this week we will be holding daily trivia on the announcements. Happy reading!

Listen for today’s question immediately after the pledge.

Please pause for a moment of silence: Hang up and start again for the pledge

Please stand for the pledge:
