February 3, 2021

Good morning! Today is Wednesday, February 3rd

Advisory will begin again today after the 1st period from 9:10-9:30!  Your advisor will be sending you a message in Canvas telling you where your advisory meets.  You can also look for the advisory tile in Canvas as well. Also, for on-campus students, you can look on the advisory lists that are going to be posted on the windows of the cafeteria and in the commons areas in the front of each wing of the new building.  These lists help you see which advisory you are in as well as the advisory room location.  Looking forward to tomorrow!

The dual enrollment information has been updated on our school website.  Link is on the High School Counseling Canvas page announcements and will be posted below for daily announcements on the website. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1C-4lwi2OMVWtPKQaBsx8ZiBQiriKdFUp/view (Links to an external site.)

Students interested in dual enrollment for next year are encouraged to look over the PowerPoint and bring any questions they may have to our high school counseling lunch and learn TOMORROW  from 12:33pm-1:03pm.  Off-campus students see zoom link below or on High School Counseling Canvas announcements.  On campus students are welcome to join us via zoom or face to face during lunch outside at the sculptures in the new secondary building courtyard.

Attention seniors – Santa Fe has over $1.8 million to give away to deserving eligible students. With only have 11 applicants at this time, Santa Fe wants high school seniors to complete the application by the priority date of February 15th. Please see the link for the application in the announcements section of the Senior canvas course, or in the senior newsletter on the PK website.

Seniors – To get ready for all the events graduation-related, we need to make you aware of a few things:

  • Community service hours will be due on April 1st.  You need 150 hours in order to receive a cord for graduation.  Everyone needs 75 hours in order to graduate.  Please plan ahead!  Return your signed sheets to Mrs. Flinchum in the front office in order to get them counted. You can find the sheets and more information on community service opportunities in the Volunteer Hours module of the Senior Canvas course, or talk to Mrs. Koppitch.
  • Unfortunately, due to COVID, Grad Bash will not be an option for us this year.  However, we are planning ahead for an entire “Senior Week” filled with celebrations and events.  More information will follow as we get closer.

Thespians!

We will have a meeting TOMORROW at 12:30.  This meeting is primarily for those Thespians who have qualified for the State Thespian Competition. See you at 12:30 in Ms Snyder’s Zoom room.

From the Cafeteria: This is just a reminder to all students that lunch and breakfast meals are free; this includes bagged juice and milk. Your meals do not include bottle water, bottle juices and or another other bottle or canned drinks. Please stay in line to purchase these items.

Please stand for the pledge: (READ THIS SLOWLY…)

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Have a great day, Blue Wave.
