Congratulations to girls soccer who defeated Oak Hall 6-0 last night! Way to go, Blue Wave!
Congratulations also to the middle school girls basketball team who defeated Lake Butler and the middle school boys basketball team who defeated Williston. Both teams will play in their championship games Thursday night in Ft. White. Good luck!
Thank you to all students, staff, and faculty for continuing to keep your masks up and maintaining physical distance. These are important ways that we can take care of each other and ourselves. Students, please keep physical distancing in mind as you wait to come into the building each day and as you are going up and down the stairs in the morning, afternoon, and between classes. We have added additional hand sanitizing stations in the common areas on each floor.
Today we will have a safety drill at the beginning of second period. At the end of first period, go directly to your second period teacher’s classroom. The teacher will provide instructions related to the safety drill. Teachers, we have captured advisory time at the beginning of second period today provide time for this drill. After you have completed the drill, move right into your regular second period activities.
Due to construction happening at the north end of campus, the bike racks located near I-wing will no longer be available. Additional bike racks can be found near N-wing.
For tech help, the first step is completing a HELP ticket through Canvas. You will be directed where and when to go for assistance.
Please note, students are not allowed into the new secondary building until the 8:00 bell rings. This provides protected planning time for teachers. Please do not enter the building before the 8 AM bell.
There will be a BSU meeting TODAY at 1:40 p.m. in Mr. Courtney’s classroom and via his zoom link. We will meet every Wednesday at 1:40pm from now through the end of February. Please come prepared to work. (Please note that we announced the incorrect time yesterday. The time is 1:40 PM)
Seniors – You may have your cap and gown pictures taken during picture day on Feb. 2nd. SWI will be set up in the PAC and will provide caps and gowns for you to wear for the picture. Please check in the senior canvas course announcements for the schedule or see Mrs. Koppitch for more information.
Key Club will be meeting today at 12:35 (high school lunch for those on campus) in Ms. Andrews’ Zoom room. All members, please plan to attend!
Current 10th and 11th grade students and their families are invited to attend Santa Fe College’s dual enrollment information night via zoom on Thursday January 28th at 7pm. Attention seniors – With only have 11 applicants at this time, Santa Fe wants high school seniors to complete the application by the priority date of February 15th. Santa Fe has over $1.8 million to give away to deserving eligible students. Please see the link for the application in the announcements section of the Senior canvas course, or in the senior newsletter on the PK website.
