Good morning, Blue Wave. Today is Tuesday, March 4, 2025

Spring Market

For the first time in PK history, Student Gov is hosting a spring market for all clubs. Make sure to bring your money on March 6th from 8-9 am and engage with the activities provided. Clubs should participate in the spring market to boost overall club engagement and attract more students. Check the student government instagram page for more information! Hope to see you there!

Pre-Collegiate and BSU

Attention Pre-Collegiate and BSU Members: Our big trip of the year will happen on the teacher workday after Spring Break – Monday, March 24th.  We will be traveling via charter bus to visit Valdosta State, FAMU, and FSU.  The cost of the trip is $20 per person; in addition you will need to bring money or food for lunch and dinner.  Permission slips are available in the front office. Permission slips and money are due to Dr. Geiger by March 14th. First come, first served!  Seating on the bus is limited, so don’t delay in getting your stuff turned in.

Congrats Girls Tennis

Congratulations to the JV Girls Tennis Team on their 6-1 win over Saint Francis High School and to Violet Marburger as player of the match.

Reminder: Athletic Trainer

The athletic trainer is not available to students during the school day.  If you need medical attention during the school day, you should visit the nurse.  The trainer can only be accessed after school.

SAT School Day Test

All students in grades 10, 11 and some in Grade 12, you will be taking the School Day SAT this Wednesday. You will need to bring your Chromebook and your Charger on Wednesday. Check where you are testing; locations are posted on the 1st floor Green and 3rd floor Green fishbowl windows. You may bring your own calculator, or one will be provided for you. Testing will begin promptly at 9:10. Again, remember both your Chromebook and your charger this Wednesday.

Blood Drive

The Blood Drive mobile will be here March 6th! Sign ups are at high school lunch Mon- Wed. If you are 16 you must have a signed parent consent. Snacks and lunch will be provided the day of the blood drive!

Feminist Club

Feminist Club will be highlighting influential women for the first week of women’s month. Marie Curie was a French physicist and chemist who conducted groundbreaking research on radioactivity. She was the first woman to win a Nobel-Prize and the first person to win two Nobel-Prizes.

Make sure to stop by Feminist Club’s table at lunch either tomorrow, Thursday, or Friday to purchase a flower gram to be delivered to a woman or girl you love next Monday. Grams are $3 a piece and all proceeds will go to charity. Also, don’t forget to wear purple to school on Friday to celebrate international women’s day.

Please pause for a moment of silence.

(SILENCE)

Please stand for the Pledge:

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and Justice for all.

Have a great day, Blue Wave!
