Good morning, Blue Wave. Today is Tuesday, March 26. 

Congrats Baseball

Congratulations to the Blue Wave baseball team for their win over GHS on Friday night. JV was up 7 to nothing in 2 1/2 innings and then got rained out. Varsity won in a five-inning 12-0 shut-out with great pitching by Charlie Tumminia and Cooper Lieffers, the closer. High fives to Luke Sparkman for his home run bomb into the football bleachers. Way to play, Wave! The Blue Wave will take on Branford tomorrow night away, with JV playing at 4:30 and Varsity playing at 7.  Come out for the next home game on Friday night against Westport beginning at 4:30 PM. 

Softball

Come watch the softball team take on Cedar Key tonight at home at 6pm! 

Congrats Girls Tennis

Congratulations to the varsity girl’s tennis team on their 7-0 win against Trinity Catholic yesterday! 

Congrats National Ocean Sciences Bowl 

Congratulations to PK’s National Ocean Sciences Bowl Team of Abigail Pruden, Xochitl Rios, Amira Souik, and Will Mercado. They earned First place at the Spoonbill Bowl at USF St. Petersburg! 

Seniors – Community Service Hours

Seniors – get your community service hours in! All 75 are due on April 1st. You need these to graduate, as well as to attend Grad Bash, Prom, or any other senior event. Questions? Ask Mrs. Koppitch or Mrs. McElroy.

Support Baseball

Come out and support PK Baseball at PDQ today until 10 PM! The baseball team gets a portion of the sales!  Please mention PK Yonge baseball when you place your order.

Support 6th Grade

Do you love PK Yonge? Do you love Pazookies? Combine your passions together and join us tonight at BJ’s Brewhouse Restaurant anytime from 5-8pm for a fundraiser for 6th grade’s end of year field trip to Hollywood Studios. Make sure to grab a flyer from the front office and present it to your waiter to have 20% of your bill donated to PK.

Women’s History Month 

Feminist Club will be highlighting influential women for the rest of March. Vera Wang is a first-generation Chinese-American designer known for her iconic bridal designs. She has completely changed the fashion industry with her incredible artistry. 

Make sure to stop by Feminist Club’s table at lunch on Tuesday, March 26th or Wednesday, March 27th to purchase a flower gram to be delivered to a woman or girl you love that Friday. All proceeds will go to charity. 

School Day SAT

Good morning, 10th and 11th Grade students. On Wednesday, March 27th, you will be taking the School Day SAT. Please remember to bring your Chromebook and your Charger. The SAT will begin promptly at 8:00 AM. Any students who arrive after testing begins will not be allowed to test, so please be on time on Wednesday. Locations for testing will be posted on fishbowl windows in 1st and 3rd floor blue and green wings today. If you are not sure about your testing location, please check out these lists. You may bring a snack and water to have during the breaks. You also may bring your own calculator to use during the test. Again, please remember to bring your Chromebook and your Charger. If you have questions, please contact Dr. MacDonald.
