Today is Tuesday, September 25th, and it is an A Day.

The middle school Science Olympiad team is meeting every Tuesday and Thursday after school from 2:15 to 3:15 pm in Dr. Cordero’s room, I-112.

The Rosa Rabell scholarship application is DUE by October 12, 2018 before 12:00 pm.  See Mrs. Santiago for more information.

Performing Arts Students:  Sell those Yankee Candles!

Remember to turn in your order forms as well as your online sales printouts by TOMORROW.

There will be a Marine Science Club meeting today during lunch in Ms. Andrews’ room (O-362).  All students who plan to come on the Keys trip should attend this meeting. Please be prompt.

8th – 11th Grade Students:

We are planning another visit to our partner school in Nanjing, China in November of 2019 (that’s next year).

We need to start planning soon, so if you are interested in learning more about our school’s 6th visit to the Nanjing Experimental International School in China, there will be two student interest meetings on Thursday of this week.

For 8th grade students, please come to Mr. Bourn’s classroom at the beginning of Middle School Lunch

For 9th-11th grade students, please come to Mr. Magura’s classroom at the beginning of High School Lunch.

We’ll share possible dates and important information about our China experience.

Come if you are interested in traveling, or if you just have questions.

All students that are in Poetry Out Loud and Euro Challenge, there is a mandatory meeting tomorrow during lunch. We are looking for new members please come by in you are interested in participating in any of the two competitions tomorrow.

The first meeting of the Black Student Union will be held after school TODAY, in Mr. Miller’s room.  All students who wish to join this year, please come to the meeting for more information. See Mrs. Koppitch for more information.

Registration for the PSAT began yesterday. The PSAT will be given Wednesday, October 10th at the Reitz Union on UF campus. The PSAT is the qualifying test for the National Merit Scholarship. All sophomores will be given the test free of charge and will not need to register. 11th and 9th grade students may take the test for a fee of $30. Waivers are available for students in need of financial assistance. Sign-up is in the business office. There are limited seats. The deadline is Thursday, October 4th, 2018.

PKY Theatre will be presenting our Fall Evening of Scenes on Thursday October 4, 7:00 PM. $5 at the door to get in!

ATTENTION SENIORS:

Your student government lobbied for the return of Senior Lunch Privilege and Administration has agreed to reinstate it.  On Fridays, Seniors lunch will begin five minutes earlier. Teachers have the prerogative to override Senior Lunch Privilege when/if necessary. Senior Lunch will begin at 12:25 on Fridays.

FROM OFFICER SAVONA:

This is the last reminder about parking decals. If at this time you do not have a parking decal, please do not park in the south student parking lot. You will have to park up in the far north parking lot. I believe we provided you all ample time to obtain these decals.
