Good morning, Blue Wave.  Today is Tuesday, January 9th and today is an A Day!

 

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

 

Registration for second semester night school driver education at the Traffic Safety Center is now open. Please call 352-955-6959 to sign up. All pertinent information can found on the Alachua County Public School Website ( www.sbac.edu ). This is not the course offered during the day time with Coach Johnson here at P. K. Yonge, however P. K. Yonge students can take this course if they would like to. If you have any questions see Coach Johnson.

 

All members of GSA and Comic & Writing Club, please report to Ms. Cheveallier’s room during Power Hour today for club pictures.

 

The National Junior Honor Society will meet today during Power Hour for the yearbook picture.  All members are encouraged to participate!

 

Science Olympiad team members please meet in Mrs. Sheppard’s class today for yearbook pictures.  Also, Mrs. Sheppard’s class will be open all week during power hour and lunch to prepare for our upcoming competition on this Saturday, 1/13.

 

China Travelers, please meet Ms. Henderson at the gym on Friday, January 12that 12:30pm.

Our yearbook photo is scheduled to be taken at 12:35pm. Don’t be late!

 

Key Club will meet today during high school lunch in Ms. Andrews’ room (O-362).  Please plan to stay after the meeting for yearbook photographs.

 

Marine Science Club members please meet at the front steps of the gym TODAY at 12:30pm for yearbook pictures.  We have a very small window of opportunity for this photograph, so please be on time!

Athletics:

 

Tonight is Senior Night for Girls’ Soccer.  Make sure you stop by the top field to watch the undefeated Blue Wave play GHS and recognize their incredible group of senior soccer players!  The game will begin at 5:00pm and senior festivities will take place at half time.

 

Softball conditioning will start tomorrow at 2:30pm at the softball field.  If you did not play fall ball please check-in with Coach Barrett to ensure all of your forms are up to date.  Softball try-outs will be held on Monday, January 22nd after school.
