From Officer Savona:

There has been an increase in thefts occurring on campus lately, including cell phones, headphones and money to name a few stolen items. These items can be expensive, and when stolen are categorized as Grand Theft, which is a felony and can carry high fines and even jail time. Please remember to lock up your valuables if you are going to bring them to school. I would recommend that you leave anything that is of high value, including large amounts of money at home if possible. Remember that the campus is under video surveillance, so please think before you act. Please be responsible for your own property and do not depend on your friends to watch it for you. Do not leave your property unsecured or unattended at any time. Remember, a theft can happen in seconds. If you have a locker, please double check that it is locked. Take the brief time it takes to be safe and secure. I want you to be safe and successful at school.

From our Swim Coach, Coach Dawson:

I am pleased to announce that our Regional team had the best overall finish and highest point total in school history with both the boys and the girls placing 3rd behind Bolles and Episcopal. This means we are the #1 public school in the Region!  We had many personal bests (including some amazingly large time drops). In addition to the great Regional performances we have a record number of athletes going to the State meet in Stuart next Friday.  We are taking 11 athletes in 4 relays and 15 individual events. These athletes include: Lain Shahboz, Gwen Shahboz, Laci Herron, Samantha Belmore, Trevor McGovern, Nick Eunice, Douglas Poole, Jack Poppell, Jayden Herron, Tara McGovern, and Brandon Jeong.  Go Blue Wave Swim and Dive Team!

Congratulations to the Blue Wave Marching Band for placing first in their division and eighth overall at this past weekend’s Kingdom of the Sun band competition.  They head to State competition at the end of this week. Also advancing, your Blue Wave Varsity Football Team, who will play The Villages this Friday night. We are proud of all of you!  Go Blue Wave!
