Today is Tuesday, October 15th, and it is an A Day.

Are you interested in making new friends or having a fun place to hang out with your current friends? Do you like games and free snacks? Would you like a place to talk about your faith and the Bible with your classmates? Join us for the first ever United Club meeting TODAY after school in Mrs. Still’s classroom I-112. All 6th-12th graders are welcome, hope to see you there!

From Coach Brunson:  There will be no Rap Battles allowed on campus or at school-sponsored events.

All students are invited to hear the University of Florida discuss their admissions process at 2:30 PM on THURSDAY in Mr. Cabrera’s room.

Attention seniors:  The next senior seminar is TOMORROW after school in Mr. Cabrera’s room – the 11th grade English room on L wing.  Bring your charged chromebooks, resumes, college essays, and any questions you have about college applications and senior projects.

Science Olympiad will not meet TODAY.

​Congratulations to the golf team for winning their 5th district golf tournament in a row.  Jake Davis won the men’s side with a one over par 71. Katelyn Huber won the girls side with a 1 under par 69.  Good luck next week at the regional golf tournament.

There is a P7 Bible Club Meeting in Mrs. Janike’s room, L-352, TODAY during High School Lunch.

High fives to the Varsity Volleyball team for their district quarterfinal win over Maclay last night.  Good luck tonight in the semi finals!

The High School Creative Photography Club will meet TOMORROW during lunch in Ms. Johnson’s room to plan our Costume Photo Shoot during Spirit Week! See you there!

Do you need volunteer hours? The City of Gainesville needs volunteers for multiple events this year, including the Downtown Festival and Art Show and Hoggetown Medieval Fair. If you are interested, please contact Mr. Velez at VelezGA@cityofgainesville.org

All members of Global Awareness Club our meeting is this Thursday, September 17th during lunch.

All UNICEF member please return your trick or treat boxes to Mrs. Santiago or Cierra Boutin this week.

At Saturday’s Cross Country meet in Ocala, Laci Herron came in 2nd and Talia Herron came in 6th for the girls, while Ian Flores Rodriguez came in 8th for the boys.  Bryce Beckett and Blake Firshing ran personal bests in the boys race.  Congratulations to Blue Wave Cross Country!

Congratulations to Roaring Riptide- our high school robotics team – for advancing to the tie-breaking match of semi-finals at Roboticon Tampa Bay this past weekend.  Additionally, congratulations to the students for sharing their “Tidal Wave of Assistive Technology” presentation in addition to representing their team in the Industry Showcase section- while sharing their work on assistive technology solutions.  Way to go, Riptide!
