Good morning! Today is Tuesday, September 20th. On this historical day in Hispanic Heritage Buenos Aires is declared the official capital of Argentina.

Artist Interest Meeting

Attention Artists, there will be an Artist interest meeting on Thursday September 22 at 2:45pm, in the 1st floor Green open space, for those of you who want their own square for the upcoming Fall Chalk Art Festival on October 22nd. For more information, or if you cannot make the September 22 meeting, see Mr. Kovach for more information. 

Boys Soccer

Students from 6th to 12th grade interested in participating in the boys soccer program, please check the Boys Soccer information page in the PK Yonge website, under Extracurricular – Athletics. There is a digital registration form, sport physical forms to print and sign and information regarding the tryouts, dates and times. 

Global Awareness Club

Please remember our Global Awareness club meeting today during lunch at L-356, the next Hispanic Honor Society is on Wednesday 21st.

National Junior Honor Society

Attention all 7th and 8th grade NJHS members!

Please check the NJHS Canvas Course and complete the form by Tuesday at lunch. Your quick response will allow us to create project groups for our Wednesday after-school meeting. Any questions? Reach out to Mrs. Fab or Mr. C.

Varsity Letter Jacket

Attention Varsity athletes, varsity cheerleaders and band members. Are you interested in purchasing a letter jacket? The representative will be here on Monday, September 26th during lunch at the back of N wing. The order form is located online on the athletics website and you must bring the check and form to the fitting to place your order. 

PKY PTO Spirit Night at Sonny’s

Spirit Night at Sonny’s on Archer Road for PKY PTO on Tuesday from 5-8. Say you are with PKY PTO and Sonny’s will donate 25% of your purchase.

Odyssey of the Mind

Do want to be apart of a PK tradition. There will be an Odyssey of the Mind meeting in Mr. Moody’s Room during lunch on Friday 9/23. Come out and find out how you can use your out of the box ideas to be apart of  a club  that has consistently competed at the world Competition against teams from  Poland, Switzerland, Korea and many more. Teams are still forming for high school, so if you have creative juices waiting to be show cased,  meet Mr. Moody to learn more about this competition. This meeting is open to all 8th thru high school.

DECA

Make sure to come to the mandatory meeting tomorrow after school at 2:45pm if you would like to be an official member of DECA! If you are unable to come to tomorrow’s meeting but still would like to be a member, please let DECA advisor Ms. Koti know. 

Thespians

Hello Thespians! There will be a BRIEF interest meeting  this Thursday at lunch for the Troupe 4102 One Act that our Thespian Club is intending to take to district competition.  Want a great option to get to states?  This might be it!

Best Buddies

Best Buddies will meet today during lunch outside the new building by the art sculptures. Our focus will be brainstorming ways to recruit buddies to match with. See you soon, Mrs. Czyz

Book Club

High schoolers, do you love to read and talk about literature? If yes, come to our first informational Book Club meeting, during lunch this Monday, September 26, 2022, in front of the new building by the art sculptures and learn more about the club. See you on Monday, Mrs. Czyz

NSTEM

Are you interested in the fields of science, technology, engineering, or math? Would you like to hear more about joining an honor society that recognizes your achievements, creates future opportunities in your college and/or career? 

Join us for NSTEM which stands for the National STEM Honor Society. Our club meets this week on Wednesday, in Coach Brewster’s classroom – Building N, Room 382. 

At this meeting, we will answer questions about the application process and requirements for joining, as well as get your year plan into place. This meeting is your last chance to submit your application for NSTEM and join the club. We hope to see you there!

Gaming Club

Come join the Gaming Club after school on Mondays in Mr. Lincoln’s room. (Blue 316) We have board games, card games, Magic the Gathering, and several people have expressed interest in playing Dungeons & Dragons.
