Baseball Team Fundraiser at PDQ

Join the Baseball team for a spirit night fundraiser at PDQ on Wednesday, March 22 from 4-9pm.  

Congrats Robotics!

Congratulations to our varsity robotics team – 4118 – Roaring Riptide on their achievements at the Orlando Regional Competition over spring break! 

They finished in 10th place out of 54 teams and was selected as a 6th seed alliance partner where they competed in the semi-finals. 

They earned the Quality Award for their 2023 Season Robot named Dan-o-saur. The quality award is given to a team whose technical accomplishments are noted for the planning, designing, construction and operation of their robot. The Quality Award celebrates machine robustness in its concept and fabrication. The team had to describe their quality plan, demonstrate the workmanship, attached systems, wiring, imagery throughout the competition, demonstrate that their robot could withstand the rigors of competition, and prove that building the robot contributed to their team’s success. 

Congrats to the students of Team 4118 – Roaring Riptide!

Poetry Contest

Calling all poets! Interested in entering a poetry contest? The 13th Annual Alachua County Peach Poetry Contest is due by April 3rd. All students, K-12, in Alachua County are invited to create and submit one original poem on the subject of peace and social justice. Winners will receive a prize and have their poems published in the 2023 Peace Poetry Contest Book. For additional information, email vfppeacepoetrycontest@gmail.com
